Giant Retro Cowl Knitting Pattern - Patricia Cantos Design

This super simple and quick project is flattering on all shapes and sizes.  Knitted with two strands of our Retro (12ply/bulky weight/aran) wool blend yarn and 12mm needles it definitely falls into the weekend knit category.  The lovely bias look is achieved with a simple oblique rib pattern.  It can be worn as a shrug, cowl or short poncho.

Materials required to complete this project include 400 to 500gm of 12ply aran weight knitting yarn - pictured in Marta's Yarns Retro yarn (Olive), 12mm knitting needles, two large 60mm wooden buttons and a knitters needle to sew in ends. NB: Yardage required after the aran weight yarn has been doubled up is between 310 and 330 yrds (280 - 300m).

Finished size: 100cm long x 40cm wide.
